Year 3 - Science: Reflective Materials

Year 3's science experiment on reflective materials. The children experimented with different materials to decide which was most reflective.

They decided that the CD was most reflective, as light travels in straight lines, and the material 'bounced back' the line so that we could see it. This material was opaque, which means light cannot pass though.

The chiffon material was the least reflective because this is translucent, therefore most light passes through and does not 'bounce back and reflect light.
