Year 5 & 6 Trip to Ufton Court

On Tuesday, we headed to Ufton Court which is just outside Reading and is about an hour away. After the coach journey, we were greeted by an ancient Greek man and woman who brought us to our room for the day.

We started with Spartan military manoeuvres where we learnt if we were strong and brave enough to be a Spartan soldier. We learnt some military manoeuvres and made a sacrificial offering to Zeus. After, we did grounds explorations looking at the city states. Here, we discovered how city states were different as we navigated our way around Greece.

When we had finished lunch, we learnt about Greek crime and punishment as we joined in a drama session and experienced how the Greeks dispensed justice. This was incredibly fun!

We had a fantastic day at Ufton Court!
